You're a high performer. At work, at home, and on the bike, you set a goal, put in the work, and expect results.
So it's frustrating when the results stall. Same finishing spot season after season. Same climb where the front group rides away. More training, but not faster racing.
You want to:
Move up the results sheet in your age group
Land on the podium at the events that matter to you
Upgrade a category, or qualify for nationals or worlds
Climb and finish stronger when the race gets hard
Train hard without losing weeks to a sore back, knee, or hip
And you want to do it while living a full life outside of cycling, not by training like a 25-year-old with nothing but free time.
Most riders over 40 try one of three things.
They ride more. But more miles on a body that doesn't recover the way it used to usually brings more fatigue, not more speed.
They buy a plan. But a plan written for thousands of riders doesn't know about your 6 a.m. meetings, your travel schedule, or the knee that flares up when you stand to climb.
They hit the gym. But a generic lifting program can leave your legs dead for the weekend ride, which is why so many cyclists quit by spring.
The problem isn't effort. High performers never run short on effort.
The problem is that nobody is putting the pieces together for you.
Experience

Information is everywhere. What's rare is a coach who knows what your data means, what to ignore, how much you can actually recover from, and when to push or pull back.
That's what I bring, and it comes down to three things.
Strength work built for cycling and planned around your riding, so it helps your ride days instead of wrecking them.
Performance isn't just about producing more watts. It's about using the fitness you've got, including knowing when to spend energy and when to save it.
The program that worked at 35 may be wrong at 45, when you're leading a team, raising kids, or coming back from an injury. Your coaching adapts to all of it.

Started a four-year development project with Menachem at 59. At 60, he won Masters 60+ at SXC Tarland Trails, took bronze at the British National MTB Marathon Championships, and raced the first World Championship of his life.

Coached on both riding and strength for nearly four years while taking on demanding gravel events. At 61, he won the Men 60+ category at the Robidoux Quick & Dirty 67-mile gravel race.

Began strength coaching in October 2024. In 2025, he placed 10th in his category at the Colnago Granfondo Mont Ventoux and completed the seven-day Haute Route Alps. In 2026, after adding riding coaching to his strength work, he finished 5th in M55 at a UCI Gran Fondo World Series event.
From 2021 to 2026, I was Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Israel Track Cycling Program. During that time, program riders earned top-10 finishes at the World and European Championships, as part of a full coaching and performance team.
I also coache athletes who are already world-class. Olympic triathlete Shachar Sagiv started working with me in December 2023. Since then, Shachar has earned his first World Cup podium, Israel's first World Cup win, and silver at the European Sprint Championships.
Why does that matter to you?
Because the thinking that finds an extra 1% for an Olympian is the same thinking that figures out why you're stuck at the same finishing spot. You get that level of judgment, applied to your goals and your calendar.

I was never the fastest rider in the group. As an amateur racer, I usually finished mid-pack or further back, especially when the road went uphill.
Many of the riders I’ve coached were stronger than I was. To hold their wheels on training rides, I had to learn to draft well, position myself, read the pace, and decide when not to burn a match.
In other words, I had to ride smart.
I’ve been teaching that lesson ever since. Most racers will never be the strongest rider in the field. They can become one of the smartest.

Marc Roberts, a rider in Scotland, has worked with me for eight seasons. Gareth Adams, seven. Colin McKenna has come back for three separate coaching blocks over 14 years.
Riders stay that long for one reason: the coaching keeps changing as their lives change.
